What’s yours

Yours, on every plan.

Buyers pay your own Stripe account, and Typetin takes 0% of your sales. Your customers, your domain, your fonts and your records stay yours, and you leave with everything whenever you choose.

Typetin hasn’t launched. This page describes commitments the product is being designed around, not something you can sign up for today.

What’s yours

What a foundry owns on Typetin, and where it lives
WhatWhere it lives
Your Stripe accountOpened in your name and connected to Typetin. You keep its full Stripe Dashboard.
The moneyBuyers pay your Stripe account directly. Typetin takes 0% commission and never holds your funds.
Your customersPayment and customer records live in your Stripe account; order and licence records can be exported from Typetin.
Your domainStays with your registrar and your DNS. You add one record to point it at your storefront.
Your fontsThe files you upload, and every format generated from them, are yours to download at any time.
Your recordsOrders, licences, the EULA version each buyer accepted, royalty records and fingerprints, all in the export.

If you leave

Nothing important about your foundry lives only with us, so you can leave without asking anyone, and you’d keep your Stripe account, customers, domain and files even if Typetin stopped. Here is how leaving will work.

  1. Export. One click exports your catalogue, font files, customers, orders, licence and royalty records in open formats. It’s on every plan, and it keeps working after you cancel.
  2. Keep selling elsewhere. Your Stripe account, with its customers and payment history, was never ours, so it goes with you unchanged.
  3. Take your domain back. Remove the one DNS record and point the domain wherever you like.

On the Studio plan we can also move your storefront onto accounts you own outright, as a paid service.

Status of the export tool: Building. It’s a launch requirement, not a later extra. See the roadmap.

What Typetin keeps

Your subscription and billing history with us, and the running of the platform: hosting, font processing, checkout pages and email delivery. Your buyers’ accounts are per foundry, so a customer of two foundries on Typetin has two separate accounts, and neither foundry can see the other’s.
